Alastair Mackie

‘Until three years ago I lived in London; the Groucho was taken for granted — used and abused! I now live on a farm on the North coast of Cornwall, so life has changed a lot and I make it to the club less frequently — but consequently it’s greatly more significant to me. I’m now a fan of breakfast as much as I am the ridiculously good Old Fashioned, and I’m proud to be a part of an ever-evolving and excellent collection.’

Alastair has shown his work extensively in the UK and internationally, included in exhibitions at the Saatchi Gallery - London, the Venice Biennale and the Reykjavik Art Museum. He has worked on a number of public commissions including Mimetes Anon, commissioned by the Contemporary Art Society for the Economist Plaza in St. James’ - London in 2009. His work is held in collections including: The Olbricht Collection - Berlin, the Salsali Private Museum - Dubai, and the Wellcome Collection - London.
