Club Film: Jane Campion's 1989 "Sweetie"

Film Club offers regular screenings where a well-known figure from the Arts introduces a movie that needs reviewing or just seeing gain for the pure pleasure.. April sees the BFI’s Lizzie Francke choose one of her favourite films – Jane Campion’s 1989 ‘Sweetie’. Campion is a master of portraying complex lives and relationships, and Sweetie is tragi-comedy about sisters in a desperate and highly dysfunctional family. If you’re not familiar with the film it is well worth seeing on our super-jumbo sized monitor with surround sound.
