Club Film: Mortelle Randonée - 'Deadly Run'

Monday 2 May, 7.30pm

Groucho Film Club presents irregular screenings of wonderful films introduced by filmmaker Toby Amies and a guest presenter.

Claude Miller’s morally enigmatic 1980’s serial killer romance with Isabelle Adjani, Deadly Circuit or Mortelle Randonée (luckily not translated as ‘Deadly Ramble’) might be considered the daddy of later cool killing spree movies like ‘Natural Born Killers’. David Quantick is an Emmy-winning writer and journalist, his quietly subversive style has made him a respected and influential figure on both sides of the Atlantic. David loves ‘Deadly Circuit’ because it’s ‘funny, sad, cool, sexy, really funny, moving, French, really REALLY funny and Isabelle Adjani’s in it’. He would force you see it if he could, but it’s much nicer this way… So if that hasn’t tickled your curiosity glands then maybe it’s time to see a Doctor or at least ‘Deadly Circuit’.
