The Groucho Short Film Festival 2019

Now open for submissions

For the second year running, submissions are now open for the second Groucho Short Film Festival. We will be accepting submissions from Groucho members for shorts under 20 minutes, from any genre. Further submission criteria is below. Keep your eyes peeled for our announcement of this year’s judging panel.

This year, members will be able to attend a screening of the long-list on Monday 1st April or Tuesday 2nd April. Booking for both evenings will open in March.

The shortlisted candidates and winner will be announced on Wednesday 3rd April in the Soho Bar.

 

SUBMISSION CRITERIA

  • All applications for short films must have been submitted by midnight on Friday 1st March to lucy.silverwood@thegrouchoclub.com
  • GC ShortFilmFest 19‘ and your name included in the email subject.
  • Films must be no longer than 20 minutes.
  • All genres welcomed.
  • Only Groucho Members involved in the production of the Short Film should apply.
  • Submission by downloadable digital file.
  • Entries that are deemed offensive or unsuitable for display for any reason, may be disqualified.
  • By submitting your film you are certifying that you are the film’s owner and that you have obtained all necessary rights for public showing of your film.
