Julia Hobsbawm’s media career started with the telex and filofax, but has spanned public relations, politics, television and more. More recently she also worked in journalism and networking. She founded Editorial Intelligence in 2006, the eiDigestcomment summary service in 2007, the Networking club and conference Names Not Numbers and the U.K. Comment Awards in 2009. She was made the world’s first Professor in Networking in 2011 and made two programmes for the BBC on networks and networking: Networking Nations (2014) and Six Degrees of Connection (2016).

Julia is now a prolific blogger, broadcaster, twitter and Instagrammer and speaks regularly about modern connectedness. Her new book Fully Connected: Surviving & Thriving in an Age of Overload is published by Bloomsbury in April.
