London Food Month

We are collaborating with the Evening Standard’s London Food Month to bring a wide and varied collection of guest chefs to host you all here at the Club.

3 June – Saturday Lunch with Victor Garvey

Starting our month of lunches in conjunction with Evening Standard’s London Food Month, and rounding off his three day residency in the Groucho Kitchen, Victor Garvey will be serving up a paella-based lunch extravaganza on the 3rd June. Victor will be opening a new restaurant on Dean Street, ‘Rambla’, later this year and the Catalonian inspired menu is full of dishes rooted in Victor’s Spanish upbringing, so make sure to book and get a taste of what our soon to be neighbour has to offer. Tickets are £35 each for a three course lunch, and tables are available from midday to 3pm.

10 June – Saturday Lunch with Ren Patel

Ren Patel, the original spice girl, is bringing her healthy, hearty and delightfully authentic dishes to The Groucho Club on Saturday 10th June. With her culinary treats tried and tested through her boutique cookery school, you are guaranteed a sensory journey through Ren’s spice box with every morsel (and it will definitely be more mouthful than morsel).

Tickets are £35 each for a three course lunch, and tables are available from midday to 3pm.

Wednesday 14 & Thursday 15 June – Club Dinners with Alle Testiere x Polpo

Russell Norman, the brains behind venetian restaurant, Polpo, will be hosting a two-day event alongside Bruno and Luca, the owners of renowned Venetian eatery, Alle Testiere.

Offering a delicious, specially-selected 4-course menu, the bespoke dishes, cooked by Bruno and Luca themselves will feature fresh, seasonal ingredients associated with traditional venetian cooking.

Dishes will include a starter of pilgrim scallops with lemon & peppermint; followed by a classic pasta course, such as spaghetti vongole; John Dory will be served with fine herbs, citrus juices and pink peppercorn, a favourite at Alle Testiere; before the finale of a traditional Venetian dessert such as baked cream pudding with pistachio biscuits.

Tickets: £65

Sittings: 6:30pm and 9:30pm

24 June – Saturday Lunch with Tom Oldroyd

Tom Oldroyd, former Chef Director of the Polpo Group, travelled to Ibiza to host a Groucho dinner in 2012 and has been a dedicated club member ever since (and is now essentially part of the furniture). Since then Tom has gone on to open his own restaurant in Islington, ‘Oldroyd’, offering a daily changing European menu built around the best seasonal British ingredients and is now bringing his scrumptiously relaxed fare to The Groucho Club to close our month of food. Tickets are £35 each for a three course lunch, and tables are available from midday to 3pm.
